Atlas Copco is a Swedish industrial company that was founded in 1873. It manufactures industrial tools and equipment. The Atlas Copco Group is a global industrial group of companies headquartered in Nacka, Sweden.
Scope and Challenges
Being a business on a global scale was a challenge in having insight into customer relationship management on every location. Wanting to have a single platform that will manage the CRM related operations, the company underwent a transformation choosing a cloud-based solution.
Outcome and Implications
The project set out to standardize sales and marketing processes from lead-to-order in more than 200 sales organizations worldwide.
What stood out was Atlas Copco’s innovative “catch the bus” approach for the global roll-out. Eight go-live slots were defined per year and the sales organizations can apply for one of the slots but were only permitted to go live when all defined deliverables passed the strict quality gates; otherwise, they had to wait for the next available go-live slot.
