Frontier Software Legacy Frontier Software iChris Core HR HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, ASX implemented Frontier Software iChris to support Core HR functions. The Frontier Software iChris deployment addressed payroll and employee data management for approximately 750 staff and Directors, operating from Sydney NSW, with a fortnightly payroll cycle for employees and a quarterly cycle for Directors. The implementation centered on Core HR capabilities including payroll processing configuration, employee lifecycle management for new starters and terminations, scheduled payroll reconciliations, and superannuation fund and clearing house administration. Frontier Software iChris was configured to manage recurring payroll runs, month end and EOFY reporting workflows, and produce periodic reporting to Board and management, aligning Core HR data with payroll execution. Operational integrations and workflows explicitly included preparation of overseas payrolls via an overseas payroll agency and routine liaison with government bodies for ad hoc payments. The system supported internal stakeholders including HR Business Partners and the Head of Performance and Reward for annual salary review cycles, and the Payroll Specialist role was responsible for day to day processing and delivering required regulatory and management reporting. Governance and operating model emphasized centralized payroll ownership under the Manager, Remuneration & Payroll, with responsibilities for maintaining payroll configuration, month end and year end reconciliations, and ongoing process improvement through ad hoc HR projects. Role-level duties documented in ASX position descriptions show the system was embedded into established payroll control points and compliance workflows without specifying third party implementation partners.
