Avanade implemented Avature ATS in 2019 to replace Oracle Taleo Cloud Service for its global talent acquisition systems. Avature ATS is deployed as the enterprise Applicant Tracking System supporting recruitment CRM and events management across Avanade.
The implementation was led by an Avature Technical Lead acting as application architect, responsible for solution options, design, configuration, test design and management, documentation, and operational support. Core capabilities configured include applicant tracking workflows, CRM integration for candidate relationship management, events management, and data migration tooling, with ongoing configuration to incorporate Avature system enhancements.
The Avature ATS integrates with over 20 additional internal and external systems, and the program explicitly includes a data migration strategy and integration enhancement workstreams to support a relaunch of the application. Design reviews, legal reviews, and security and data privacy coordination were incorporated into integration and release activities to align the application with global compliance and architecture requirements.
Governance and delivery were organized around agile sprint cycles with backlog prioritization, estimation, planning and resource allocation, producing user stories for internal and external development teams and vendors. Operational governance included test management across multiple test types, documentation standards, and daily cross-functional communication between business stakeholders, legal, security, data privacy, and system architects.

In 2020, Avanade implemented the ServiceNow AI Platform in the Generative AI Platforms category to automate and scale governance, risk, and compliance workflows across its services organization. The deployment built on the Now Platform approach, aligning ServiceNow Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Security Operations, and IT Service Management to create a unified GRC and security operations fabric.
The implementation included the ServiceNow Policy and Compliance module alongside GRC and SecOps capabilities, and extended into HR Service Delivery for non IT processes. Avanade configured the ServiceNow AI Platform to operationalize policy management, resulting in 63 policies implemented and 93 authority documents mapped, representing 1,348 controls, and to support query driven mapping across regulatory frameworks.
Integrations were configured to centralize security and compliance telemetry, including connection to the corporate SIEM and synchronization with the Unified Compliance Framework, and linkage to the CMDB for asset context. Operational coverage focused on compliance, security operations, IT support, and executive reporting, enabling cross functional workflows where policy exceptions and security incidents are visible together.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technology work, with the transition to ServiceNow for GRC completed with the help of Accenture in six months, and spreadsheets replaced by database driven workflows for regulatory updates. Workflows were restructured so that compliance status, authority documents, and control mappings are queryable in minutes rather than tracked manually across teams.
Explicit outcomes reported by Avanade included extended and up to date visibility of compliance status for executives, reduced manual workload for a small compliance team, faster response to security alerts through SIEM integration, and reduced time to identify asset owners and exceptions during incidents from days to hours or minutes. The ServiceNow AI Platform was positioned as the enterprise platform to scale GRC and integrate GRC with SecOps and ITSM systems.
