Oracle Legacy Oracle Responsys Campaign Management CRM n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, Azul Linhas Aéreas, also known as Azul Airlines, implemented Oracle Responsys for Campaign Management to centralize contextual digital marketing across its passenger traffic, loyalty program and air cargo logistics business units. The deployment was positioned to maintain customer engagement during pandemic travel disruptions and to structure segmented customer data collected from tags, websites and forms. Azul used Oracle Responsys to configure dynamic personalization, automated campaign orchestration and extensive data segmentation, creating dynamic data blocks that consolidate flight preferences, transactional records and behavioral attributes for individual customers. Oracle Responsys Campaign Management supported the automation of more than 60 campaigns, and the platform was used to build cross-channel experiences and rapid campaign scaling while keeping messaging individually targeted. The implementation integrated Oracle Responsys with Oracle Data Analytics and with the broader Oracle Advertising and Customer Experience suite to derive campaign metrics and insights. Azul worked with Oracle partner Pmweb, which provided a DataPipe to organize and prioritize API calls into Oracle Responsys, ensuring the correct cadence of data flow and preserving data integrity as large volumes of customer records were processed. The environment handled a registered base of more than 12 million users and campaigns that reached millions of recipients. Operational governance emphasized automated segmentation, reuse of dynamic data blocks by the marketing team and shortened campaign development cycles, enabling faster access to journey data and shared communication assets. Pmweb DataPipe was incorporated into operational workflows to prevent platform overload, and campaign configuration practices focused on data hygiene and event timing to support automated sends. Outcomes reported from the Oracle Responsys Campaign Management implementation include driving 43 percent of Azul's revenue through campaign communications during a period of industry disruption, a conversion of 1.8 percent for customers who received and opened communications compared to 0.4 percent for those who did not, an average campaign conversion rate three times higher when combining Oracle Data Analytics with Oracle Responsys, and revenue from marketing campaigns doubling by the end of 2020 relative to 2019.
