In 2017, Bächler Feintech AG implemented SAP Business ByDesign as its cloud ERP solution classified under ERP Financial, driven by the need for a scalable system and product traceability. The decision was executed with implementation partner Agilita and targeted core business functions across manufacturing, quality and finance. The deployment used SAP Business ByDesign standard functionality, delivering over 35 business scenarios out of the box that were reviewed and adapted to customer requirements. Configuration work focused on financial management workflows, inventory and production process support, and product traceability capabilities, with scenario-level adaptations coordinated jointly by Bächler Feintech AG and Agilita. Perimeter systems were integrated selectively using standard web services where necessary and useful to support shop floor data, quality assurance inputs and supplier exchanges. Operational coverage initially included the Hölstein site and associated engineering and production functions, and the SAP Business ByDesign instance was later extended to incorporate additional production units. In 2021 the IT environment of the acquired business unit Gehring Cut AG was integrated into SAP Business ByDesign, extending the solution footprint and consolidating financial and operational processes under the same cloud ERP. Governance and rollout were managed by Agilita as the long term partner, with iterative coordination of business scenarios and ongoing support during the multi-year operational period.
