The implementation emphasized invoice capture, exception management, supplier query resolution, and billing reporting within the AP Automation scope, delivering faster resolution of supplier payment issues and clearer operational governance for the billing function.

IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner is used for multi-horizon fleet planning to generate and compare multiple long-range maintenance scenarios quickly, while IFS Maintenix Line Planner is consumed as a SaaS tool to create, maintain and communicate adaptive line maintenance plans that maximize mechanic output. The Production Planning & Control module consolidates tasks, status and resource allocation to provide absolute visibility during an aircraft maintenance visit, and configuration emphasizes outcome-driven processes and user-centric workflows.
IFS Maintenix is deployed as a best-of-breed Aviation MRO application within BAE Systems operational ecosystem, designed to integrate with other organizational tools to maintain synchronized maintenance data. Implemented functional capabilities include real-time parts tracking to locate mobile assets, rock-solid real-time compliance workflows to meet safety and legal requirements, and integrated planning that spans short-term urgent decisions to longer-term strategic schedules. The implementation supports a connected workforce during operations, aiming to improve turnaround times and maintain asset availability. Both Line Planner and Fleet Planner can operate independently of the full Maintenix stack to enable phased adoption across units.
Governance and workflow changes introduced with IFS Maintenix focus on enforcing real-time compliance checkpoints, standardizing maintenance visit workflows and creating electronic work packs to replace manual handoffs. Process transformation is orchestrated through planning controls and audit trails configured in the Production Planning & Control module, aligning maintenance execution to outcome-driven service level objectives. Security, reliability and ease of use are prioritized in configuration to support operational adoption and regulatory traceability.
BAE Systems uses IFS Maintenix to gain end-to-end visibility required to manage support contracts and to identify cost drivers in maintenance delivery, and customers of the product report substantial returns.
