| Fiserv | Legacy | Fiserv Signature Bank Platform | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Bank of Sydney implemented the Fiserv Signature Bank Platform as part of a broader digital channels initiative that targeted online and mobile banking delivery, aligning the deployment with its Core Banking strategy. The bank completed a competitive procurement and selected Fiserv based on its assessment of a flexible solution that could grow with the organization, and on statements that customers are increasingly tech savvy and mobile, according to Bank of Sydney leadership.
The implementation included Fiserv DigitalAccess, an end to end omnichannel solution hosted in a cloud environment, to support all online and mobile applications, infrastructure, and services offered by Bank of Sydney. Fiserv Signature Bank Platform was deployed as the core banking backbone, with DigitalAccess fronting customer digital channels and standard channel capabilities for authentication, session management, transaction origination, and account servicing.
Architecturally, DigitalAccess was integrated with the Fiserv Signature core banking system to create a unified front to back digital experience, while treasury and capital markets functions remained on the Ambit Treasury Management system from FIS Sungard as the specialist TCM environment. The rollout covered the bank operating footprint in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and impacted consumer and business banking product delivery, digital channel operations, and back office account processing.
Governance for the program followed a vendor selection driven approach after a competitive tender, and the cloud hosted model centralized online and mobile delivery under Fiserv DigitalAccess while relying on Fiserv Signature for core transaction processing. Bank of Sydney framed the choice in terms of vendor proven capability and solution flexibility, and positioned the implementation to support ongoing growth and digital engagement objectives.
