The deployment was provisioned using a hybrid hosting model combining outsourcing, cloud, and SaaS consumption to host corporate software solutions and enable outsourced service delivery.
The SAP Business Suite footprint centered on SAP ECC as the transactional core, integrated with CRM, BI, Solution Manager, GRC, BPC, PI, and SCM components to support end to end business workflows. Operational coverage included corporate and international IT environments, with Barilla internal international IT second level support functioning as the technical focal point for outsourced services, SAP basis activities, and incident escalation.
Governance was centralized under the Head of the Barilla IT team who owned design and governance of the technical infrastructure, supplier strategy and selection, transition projects, service management, renegotiation, contracting, and ongoing supplier relationship management. Demand management and implementation leadership for architecture and technical components ensured that SAP Business Suite configuration and operational support aligned with business requirements and internal support workflows.
