In 2021, Barkers New Zealand implemented Ontempo Retail Management to centralize Retail Management for retail operations and CRM across its New Zealand stores. The implementation was delivered with Overdose Digital, which rebuilt Barkers' Adobe Commerce storefront and integrated it with Ontempo Retail Management so loyalty, promotions, coupons and offline and online transactional data are synchronized between channels.
The configuration emphasized Ontempo loyalty and promotions integration, with promotions and coupon management linked to the retail operations data model. Order orchestration was configured to support click and collect and endless aisle workflows, and inventory visibility capabilities were mapped to store stock records to expose store availability to the storefront.
Integrations included the rebuilt Adobe Commerce storefront, transactional feeds for offline and online sales, and synchronized loyalty and promotions services within Ontempo Retail Management. Operational coverage focused on store level retail operations and CRM across New Zealand, enabling unified customer entitlements and channel aware order routing.
Governance and process changes were scoped to centralize promotions and loyalty policy administration and to formalize store fulfilment workflows for multichannel orders, with Overdose Digital supporting deployment and implementation governance. The Overdose case study explicitly reports improved multichannel fulfilment and improved stock visibility as outcomes of the Ontempo loyalty and promotions integration.
