Bechtle selected SAP Extended Warehouse Management, SAP EWM, to modernize warehouse orchestration and extend warehouse execution capabilities within the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment. Configuration emphasized standard EWM capabilities including inbound and outbound process control, storage bin management, task and resource management, and integration with SAP inventory and materials management processes to maintain transactional consistency across finance and logistics functions.
The project scoped the central warehouse and adjacent supply chain and logistics functions, establishing cross functional governance between IT and logistics for operational rollout and process change.
