Workday HCM was configured to support standard Core HR capabilities including new starter onboarding data capture, absence management, information adjustments, and leaver processing. The configuration encompassed document and contract administration, processing of starters and leavers, management of secondments and transfers, and routine amendments to employee records.
Operational use of Workday HCM extends to recruitment administration tasks such as advert support, shortlisting coordination, interview scheduling, and verification workflows for right to work and references in line with company policies. The platform is also used to maintain the employee file and to coordinate learning and development course availability through the HRIS, with HR coordinators acting as the first point of contact for day to day administration and employee queries.
The 2021 initiative involved consolidating employee data from Oracle PeopleSoft HCM into Workday HCM and embedding Workday into day to day HR governance and recordkeeping. Workday HCM drives operational HR processes across Belron International, supporting the People team and providing HR support to senior management on ad hoc projects.
