| SAP | Legacy | SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (SAP FSCM) | AR Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Bentley Systems implemented SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (SAP FSCM) to support its AR Automation initiatives within its SAP ERP and S/4HANA Finance environment. The deployment was led by Bentley’s internal SAP Business Solutions team, which is responsible for configuration, maintenance, operation, and ongoing administration of Finance Business Solutions that form the core of internal user experience.
The configuration work centered on SAP Financial Supply Chain Management, and extended to accounts receivable automation workflows including credit management, collections, cash application, and dispute management consistent with AR Automation capabilities. Implementation tasks included functional configuration of SAP S/4HANA Finance, General Ledger, Treasury, FICA, and Accounts Receivable modules, along with development of custom reports and data upload processes where required.
Integrations were designed and overseen between SAP FSCM and multiple SAP modules, including SAP CRM and other SAP ERP components, as well as third-party software and payroll integration points identified by the business. The program emphasized management of interfaces in and out of the system of record to ensure accurate and timely information exchange across finance, treasury, and accounts teams that serve Bentley’s global user base.
Governance and operationalization were executed by the internal consulting function acting as liaison to business stakeholders, providing second level support, training, and process documentation. The team enforced SAP best practices, aimed to minimize customizations, managed unit and regression testing across environments, handled job monitoring and performance tuning, and maintained data consistency through structured uploads and reconciliation processes.

| Zuora | Legacy | Zuora Revenue | Revenue Cycle Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Bentley Systems implemented Zuora Revenue as its Revenue Cycle Management platform to centralize global revenue accounting and to support ASC 606 compliance within the Controllership organization. The deployment was scoped to the Global Corporate Controllership team and was designed to interface operationally with Financial Operations, Commercial Programs, Sales Operations, Information Technology, and Product teams for consolidated internal and external revenue reporting.
Zuora Revenue was configured to support core revenue recognition workflows including revenue allocations, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, royalty payable analysis, contract review and summarization, and standalone selling price testing. Operational responsibilities documented for the Staff Revenue Accountant include RevPro administration tasks, RevPro system testing when new commercial offerings require configuration changes, remediation testing for major system updates, and preparing quarterly detailed analyses to enforce ASC 606 criteria.
The implementation operated in an environment where SAP ERP and BW knowledge is referenced as relevant, indicating coexistence with SAP financial systems for transactional and reporting data flows. Governance and control activities center on meeting month end and quarter end close deadlines, liaising with external auditors on contract reviews and controls, maintaining global ownership of ongoing SSP testing and compliance, and identifying process improvement and automation opportunities within the Zuora Revenue driven revenue accounting workflow.
