In 2010 Bic deployed Kofax ReadSoft Online as an AP Automation solution at its Bic Europe subsidiary in Clichy, operating with vendor Tungsten Automation. The implementation targeted accounts payable and supplier accounting workflows and was positioned to instrument invoice intake and validation across French and English supplier communications.
Kofax ReadSoft Online was configured to scan and capture supplier invoices, apply verification and data extraction routines, and optimize invoice processing to meet payment deadlines. Functional capabilities implemented included automated invoice capture, verification of invoice data, and mechanisms to flag and route exceptions for manual review, aligned with accounts payable control points such as justification of provisioned expenses, temporary accounts, and both stocked and non-stocked purchase invoices.
The deployment integrated with ERP JD Edwards for posting and reconciliation of supplier invoices and accounts payable transactions, enabling a handoff from ReadSoft invoice data to the ERP ledger. Operational coverage centered on the subsidiary supplier accountant function, accounts payable teams, and ReadSoft end users who required bilingual supplier engagement and invoice dispute communication.
Governance and process control measures emphasized supplier reference data management and the control of invoicing reliability, with dedicated user assistance and internal support for ReadSoft users to maintain data quality and operational consistency. Workflow responsibilities included supplier communication, verification of supplier invoicing data, and ongoing management of the supplier reference database to support AP Automation controls.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Concur Travel | Travel Management | ERP Services and Operations | Arago Consulting | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 Bic implemented SAP Concur Travel to centralize Travel & Expense under the Travel Management category, initiating a multi-wave deployment across its multinational operations. The deployment targeted Travel & Expense consolidation and standardization while addressing known workforce impacts tied to expense report complexity and delays.
The program responded to two major challenges, the direct impact of expense reports on employee performance and motivation, and a high level of process heterogeneity that included extensive use of Excel, an aging Nautilus solution in France, and different SAP configurations in the USA and Brazil. These capability and process gaps drove a requirement for a configurable, policy-driven Travel Management platform that could automate expense reporting, enforce approval workflows, and unify travel booking and policy controls.
Bic and implementation partner Arago Consulting adopted a Core Model approach, creating a basic SAP Concur Travel configuration that was adaptable to local specificities and deployed in successive waves. Functional scope focused on Travel & Expense modules including automated expense report processing, travel itinerary and booking consolidation, configurable approval chains, and centralized policy enforcement, with the Core Model designed to accommodate integration points and configuration variations in local SAP landscapes and the existing Nautilus instance.
Deployment governance relied on a structured project team that brought together all functions, with strong governance both at headquarters and within local entities to manage wave sequencing, configuration variances, and change control. The rollout emphasized iterative configuration, local adaptation under central controls, and cross-functional ownership of travel and expense workflows.
