In 2019, Birmingham Children's Trust implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial application. The deployment established a cloud-based financial platform to consolidate statutory accounting, procurement controls and budgetary oversight for the Trust's corporate finance function.
The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation included configuration of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, fixed assets, cash management and financial reporting capabilities. Workflows were standardized for supplier invoice processing, purchase order integration with procurement, period close orchestration and management reporting to support month end and compliance activities.
Socitm Advisory acted as the system integrator, providing program management, solution design and public sector configuration using its sector-specific methodologies and delivery tools. The program targeted the Trust's finance and procurement teams and was scoped to support interoperation with local government and children’s services administrative processes as required by the organisation.
Governance and rollout used Socitm Advisory's public sector delivery model, with stakeholder engagement, training and go-live support to manage a multi-department rollout across the Trust. Oracle Cloud ERP was positioned to centralize financial controls and standardize reporting across corporate services while Socitm Advisory provided post-implementation stabilization and change governance.
