| SAP | Legacy | SAP Ariba Invoice | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Bluecore implemented SAP Ariba Invoice within its AP Automation tooling to formalize supplier invoice intake and approval workflows. The deployment was positioned inside the finance organization, with daily use by accounts payable staff responsible for vendor forms, invoice processing, and payment coordination in the United States.
Configuration focused on invoice capture and PO-based invoice processing consistent with AP Automation capabilities, including automated invoice routing, configurable approval workflows, and PO matching against purchase orders submitted through procurement portals. SAP Ariba Invoice was used to process invoices tied to purchase orders, aligning invoicing with supplier onboarding and vendor record maintenance performed by the accounts payable team.
Operationally SAP Ariba Invoice operated alongside existing finance systems, with invoice activity taking place through procurement portals including Ariba, Coupa, and Fieldglass, while cash application and reconciliation activities were performed in Netsuite. Sales order processing and order synchronization workflows were handled separately via Saasoptic and Netsuite, and the finance team continued to manage billing communications through a centralized Gmail billing inbox.
Governance changes emphasized structured vendor form completion to enable timely payments, formal approval workflows for supplier invoices, and coordination with accounts receivable activities such as dunning and AR aging reporting. The SAP Ariba Invoice implementation augmented AP process controls, supplier invoicing discipline, and formalized invoice routing as part of Bluecore's end to end finance operations.
