| Finastra | Legacy | Finastra Fusion Phoenix | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022 BlueSky Bank deployed Finastra Fusion Phoenix as its Core Banking application. The implementation was managed through the bank's internal IT generalist and desktop support function, with operational responsibility for branch IT upkeep, end user provisioning, and hardware lifecycle across all branch locations.
Finastra Fusion Phoenix was configured to support core banking processing and teller and account maintenance workflows, consistent with Core Banking functional expectations. Configuration and operational tasks included creating a new user template, in-person new user setup on start date, rebuilding and provisioning desktop hardware, and ongoing client workstation administration.
The bank operated Finastra Fusion Phoenix alongside a set of adjacent banking systems, including MOX, Wits, CreditQuest, ECM, and ECS, which formed the broader application ecosystem. These systems were part of the day to day operational landscape and were managed in parallel by IT staff who traveled weekly to branches to support integrations at the endpoint and branch level.
Governance and process work focused on IT service management and continuity, including setup procedures to inventory all hardware and check items out to users in ServiceDesk, creation of the SharePoint intranet to centralize documentation, and participation in disaster recovery testing and build activities. Operational controls emphasized consistent user provisioning flows, hardware tracking, and DR participation rather than external implementation partner oversight.
