| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Retail Merchandising System | Retail Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014 Brand Collective implemented Oracle Retail Merchandising System to support wholesale merchandising and category management with a strategic retail partner, Myer, under the Retail Management category. The deployment focused on centralized merchandising workflows to manage multiple apparel and footwear brands including Superdry, Mossimo, Hush Puppies, and Clarks, and to operationalize store allocations and assortment planning across Myer’s network.
The implementation emphasized core merchandising capabilities, including item registration, store-level allocations, demand forecasting, open to buy maintenance, and allocation planning. Oracle Retail Merchandising System was configured to drive weekly allocation runs for Myer’s 69 Australian stores, handling item allocations that regularly reached up to $1M of stock per week for select brands, and to support sample management, seasonal buy grid creation using InDesign and Photoshop, and promotional merchandising decisions.
Operational reporting and analytics were executed in coordination with Myer systems, with Brand Collective running regular sales and analysis reports via Retek Data Warehouse and completing item registration through Myer’s Retek Merchandising System. The implementation therefore operated alongside Myer’s retail systems for reporting and item master workflows, enabling cross-system handoffs between Brand Collective merchandising processes and Myer buyer showings, online catalogue maintenance, and marketing coordination.
Governance and process changes centered on weekly sales review cadences, buyer meeting participation, and allocation approval workflows to optimize sell through and profit by using history, forecasts and allocation plans. The program also embedded responsibilities for store photographic standards and online storefront readiness to ensure items were available and visible when product reached stores, aligning merchandising operations with Myer marketing and in store promotional activity.
