Operational coverage included Braskem sites in Sao Paulo and the surrounding region in Brazil and focused on procurement and maintenance planning functions. The platform supported direct monitoring and support for a plant maintenance shutdown in August 2017, coordinating the hiring of more than 40 multidisciplinary processes that resulted in over BRL 20 million in contracted work. Coupa LLamasoft also supported an infrastructure sourcing project for temporary housing modules for PGM maintenance, where the chosen approach realized 25% of the forecasted cost, documented as R$1.5 million in savings.
Governance changes emphasized key user stewardship and centralized supplier negotiation strategies, notably renegotiation of access contracts for climbing, lifting platforms and scaffolding by applying scope synergy across national services.
