Oracle Intuit QuickBooks Online Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Brave implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial solution. Brave, a Professional Services company with approximately 210 employees in the United States, had previously established a consolidated general ledger in Intuit QuickBooks Online and migrated that consolidated ledger into Oracle NetSuite ERP during the 2019 deployment. The implementation concentrated on a consolidated general ledger and standardization of the chart of accounts, leveraging core ERP Financial capabilities for centralized accounting, financial close workflows, and organization-level financial reporting. Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to serve corporate finance and accounting functions, supporting multi-entity consolidation and the accounting control framework typical of ERP Financial deployments. Recruitment and operational readiness accompanied the rollout, including hiring and training a Controller and a staff accountant to sustain month end and reporting processes. Operational coverage centered on corporate finance with adjacent HR organizational activity during the period, reflected by the hiring of a Head of HR. The deployment centralized ledger control and accounting ownership under the finance organization, aligning chart of accounts normalization and intercompany accounting workflows consistent with enterprise financial governance. The NetSuite implementation occurred amid a capital raise of 50 million in debt and equity capital, providing contextual business impetus for consolidated accounting infrastructure. Oracle NetSuite ERP replaced the prior Intuit QuickBooks Online consolidated ledger and became the ERP Financial backbone for Brave's corporate finance function.

Greenhouse Legacy Greenhouse ATS Applicant Tracking System HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Brave deployed Greenhouse ATS as its Applicant Tracking System to support recruiting and talent acquisition across the company. Brave is using Greenhouse ATS on their website to publish job listings and capture applicant flows directly from the public career site into the recruiting pipeline. The Greenhouse ATS implementation centers on career site integration, job requisition publishing, candidate tracking through configurable pipelines, interview orchestration with scorecards, and offer management workflows. Configuration work emphasized structured stages and hiring manager access controls, automated candidate status updates, and templated communications to standardize screening and interview processes. Operational ownership sits with Talent Acquisition and People Operations teams, who use Greenhouse ATS for requisition management, candidate evaluation, and hiring governance. The deployment follows a cloud SaaS model with the applicant flow originating from Brave’s website, and the system is used to centralize applicant data, coordinate interviewers, and maintain audit-ready hiring workflows.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Legacy Amazon SageMaker ML and Data Science Platforms AI Development n/a 2021 2021
In 2021 Brave implemented Amazon SageMaker to strengthen its machine learning infrastructure within the ML and Data Science Platforms category. The initiative targeted site classification models used to drive Brave browser advertising decisions for 30 million monthly active users and more than one million verified publishers, and it originated from a small in-house team of two data scientists and a DevOps specialist needing a scalable, auditable pipeline while preserving user privacy. Onica implemented MLOps Foundations and restructured Brave's cloud architecture to automate model development, training and deployment, with Amazon SageMaker executing model training workloads. The implementation formalized CI/CD for machine learning by integrating AWS CodePipeline as the continuous delivery engine, AWS CodeCommit as the source repository, AWS Lambda to invoke Jenkins endpoints, AWS Systems Manager for perimeter storage functions, and Amazon S3 for training data storage, while optimizing the natural language processing model to run efficiently in the cloud. The program was funded through AWS Jumpstart and included partner-led operationalization, including hands-on training of Brave engineers in the MLOps framework and troubleshooting procedures. The integration approach emphasized traceability and repeatability, enabling data scientists to trigger training and publish models through an automated pipeline rather than via manual uploads and ad hoc steps. Governance changes included a new notification and approval workflow for model promotion, where completed training runs surface metrics for review and the team can accept or reject model updates prior to production deployment. The project operated under a six week deadline, required a midstream change to the deployment model, and was completed ahead of schedule while also adjusting model architecture to control cloud execution time. Explicit outcomes from the deployment were faster model iteration and lower infrastructure cost, Amazon SageMaker training times moved from several days to approximately six hours, model publication and deployment times shrank from multiple days to a few hours, and infrastructure costs decreased by 50 percent through the use of spot instances. The pipeline improvements also reinforced Brave's privacy posture by enabling model capabilities that keep user data on device, and the new QA gating improved overall software quality for browser advertising features.
