In 2013, Bristow Group implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial solution, replacing IFS Cloud ERP. The deployment centralized core finance and accounting processes under SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and established a single platform for statutory and management reporting.
Configuration focused on ERP Financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Financial Reporting, with settings adjusted to align the chart of accounts and period close procedures to sector-specific requirements. The implementation included common financial workflows for month end closing, intercompany postings, and fixed asset lifecycle processing.
The project implemented single sign-on for SAP ERP ECC and the Netweaver application, integrating the SAP Netweaver application platform with the corporate identity provider to consolidate authentication and access control and to support role based access across finance users. Interfaces and data exchange points were scoped for financial master data and transactional document flows to ensure consistency between ERP and adjacent systems.
Governance was updated to leverage SSO enabled access governance and role management, reducing manual account provisioning and centralizing control of financial user entitlements. Rollout and change control emphasized standardized financial master data, controlled chart of accounts updates, and audit traceability to support the new centralized ERP Financial environment.
