| SAP | Legacy | SAP Travel and Expense Management | Expense Management | ERP | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Bunge implemented SAP Travel and Expense Management to centralize Expense Management across finance, procurement, and compliance functions. SAP Travel and Expense Management was established as the enterprise expense ledger and reconciliation hub to enforce corporate policy and support Sarbanes-Oxley key control executions.
The deployment was configured to handle travel and expense reporting and P-Card reconciliation workflows, aligning card transaction capture with expense reporting controls typical of Expense Management platforms. Configuration work emphasized approval hierarchy enforcement, expense audit trails, and reconciliation capabilities to standardize reporting and control across business units.
Integrations tied expense workflows into broader procure to pay operations, specifically integrating with procure to pay BPOpen to ensure card and travel spend fed into AP control processes. The program extended operational coverage to plant-level finance and operations by ensuring SAP records for rework inventory and scrap oil were correctly recorded, linking operational inventory accuracy to financial controls and reporting.
Governance focused on education and disciplined processes to support management controls including procure to pay BPOpen, travel and expense reporting, P-Cards, and Sarbanes-Oxley key control executions. The implementation supported investigations of material usage variances in excess of standards, enabled root cause analysis and corrective recommendations such as recipe shrinks and inventory accuracy improvements, and provided more reliable data to measure and monitor plant performance.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Bunge implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a broader SAP SuccessFactors deployment to address global compensation programs and talent workflows. Bunge implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation for Compensation Management to support global HR and talent management functions across its COE structure with members from EMEA, Asia/APAC, LatAm/South America and North America.
The original implementation included Talent modules such as Performance & Goals, Succession, Compensation and Variable Pay, plus Learning and Employee Profile, with the Compensation module configured to handle variable pay workflows and standardized pay review processes. Configuration work emphasized process mapping and requirements definition to align performance, succession and compensation data flows, and to enable approval routing and pay worksheet orchestration consistent with Compensation Management best practices.
Later expansions added Workforce Analytics and Employee Central with Position Management to centralize workforce and position data alongside compensation records. The deployment used the SAP SuccessFactors suite to unify talent administration and workforce reporting, enabling the Compensation module to reference Employee Central position and demographic data for plan eligibility and pay planning.
Governance was organized through a centralized COE model, with a Functional and Operational Lead driving original process mapping, RFP and vendor selection activity and coordinating regional members for rollout and operating procedures. The implementation impacted HR, total rewards and talent management teams, with governance and workflows restructured to support cross-regional pay cycle coordination and standardized compensation approval practices.
