| IFS | Legacy | IFS AFE (formerly P2 AFE) | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Caerus Oil and Gas implemented IFS AFE (formerly P2 AFE) to support AP Automation across its accounting and joint interest billing workflows. The deployment focused on establishment and lifecycle management of Authorization for Expenditure records, enabling AFE setup for phases such as drilling, completions, P&A, reclamation, workovers, and Facilities.
IFS AFE (formerly P2 AFE) was configured to support core AFE and payout capabilities, including preparation of payout statements for more than 300 wells, monitoring partner working interest at drill and completion, and coding and processing Non-Operated JIB with a monthly JIB close cadence. The implementation covered journal processing and reclass entries, monthly allocations by pumper routes, pads, and cost centers, and routine cash application tasks tied to customer accounts and daily cash inflow and outflow reporting.
The IFS AFE environment was integrated with invoice and expense systems for end-to-end payables and payout workflows, specifically OpenInvoice, Suti Expense, and P2 Reporting implemented in the Bolo system for payouts. Operational ownership spanned accounts payable, JIB accounting, and finance teams, supporting coordination between field cost center allocations and corporate reporting.
Governance included creation of 18 desktop procedures to formalize AP and JIB processing and documented controls used during internal and external audit analysis to resolve discrepancies. The implementation emphasized standardized AFE configuration and payout orchestration within IFS AFE, aligning operational procedures for accounting, JIB close, and expense reconciliation under the AP Automation program.

| Insperity | Legacy | Insperity PerformSmart | Performance and Goal Management | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 Caerus Oil and Gas implemented Insperity PerformSmart as its Performance and Goal Management application to support Human Resources performance processes. The deployment was focused on operationalizing the first formal review cycle after a period of rapid hiring, with HR ownership for configuration, user provisioning, and review cadence enforcement.
Insperity PerformSmart was configured to run standard performance review workflows including employee goal setting, manager assessments, and review cycle scheduling, and it was used to record reviewer comments and development plans. Role based access and workflow routing were applied to ensure hiring managers and HR administrators could complete reviews and approve ratings within the platform.
The implementation ran alongside a new applicant tracking deployment, JazzHR, which was used for candidate sourcing and hiring logistics, while Insperity PerformSmart was used for post hire performance management. No additional integrations are documented, operational coverage centered on HR, hiring managers, and newly onboarded employees following a large acquisition.
Governance and rollout were managed by HR staff who drafted offer letters, coordinated onboarding activities, and administered the first review cycle in the application. Insperity PerformSmart was successfully implemented and managed through the first review cycle, establishing formal performance and goal management practices at Caerus Oil and Gas.
