In 2012, Café de Coral implemented IPL HRMS Leave as part of a broader IPL HRIS deployment from IPL Research, addressing Absence and Leave Management for its Hong Kong workforce. The implementation positioned IPL HRMS Leave as the leave module within the subscribed IPL HRIS core system, and the year 2012 marks the formal adoption across operational HR teams in Hong Kong.
The IPL HRIS deployment included standard modules of Human Resources, Leave Management, Hong Kong Payroll and MPF system, together with add-on Attendance and iAttendance modules. IPL HRMS Leave was configured alongside these modules to support standard leave workflows, roster-aware leave approvals, and automated leave balances, aligning leave entitlement calculations with payroll and MPF processing.
Operational coverage focused on more than 10,000 employees in Hong Kong and extended to branch managers and HR users who monitor roster and attendance across outlets. The Attendance and iAttendance modules were used to feed roster and clock data into the leave process, enabling HR and branch management to reconcile attendance with leave requests and approvals across retail sites.
Governance and process changes centralized leave administration within IPL HRIS, reducing manual data handling and enabling HR users to produce systematic and statistical reports for management. Café de Coral reported that the system reduced human error, released HR from extensive administrative tasks, and provided instant, accurate reporting that supported corporate operations and strengthened the company image.
