In 2021 Calgary Airport Authority implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as an ERP Financial solution to centralize finance, operational and project accounting capabilities. The deployment included administration of Oracle Cloud ERP and accompanying Oracle EPM components to support Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Supply Chain, and Project Accounting across the organization.
Configuration work focused on financial, operational and projects modules, master data management, user setup and access approvals, and system-enabled controls to support timely monthly, quarterly and annual closings. The implementation encompassed design of reporting and finance system configurations, and a structured finance systems training program to keep a population of 300 plus users current and fluent with Oracle Cloud ERP.
The cloud-native Oracle Cloud ERP environment was integrated with in-house systems through data interfaces, explicitly including Dayforce, with collaborative operational ownership shared between CAA IT, Oracle, and the Oracle AMS service provider. Novamodus was engaged as the SI/VAR and consultants were managed to enhance the system, with the finance systems manager responsible for negotiating contracts and overseeing consultant deliverables.
Governance and process work established master data governance, access approval workflows, and a sustainable support model driven by the AMS vendor and internal IT, while finance subject matter experts and the finance systems manager acted as the bridge between business process and technical functionality. Ongoing responsibilities include coaching users and approvers, managing help desk interactions with the AMS provider, and continuous improvement of system-enabled processes to align operations across front, mid and back office functions.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2012 | 2013 |
In 2012 Calgary Airport Authority implemented IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management solution to centralize maintenance and asset records at Calgary International Airport. The rollout targeted airside and terminal equipment management, explicitly tracking over 40 passenger boarding bridges as a monitored asset class and supporting maintenance operations across the airport.
Configuration work focused on work order management, asset registry imports, and reporting. IBM Maximo was configured with custom user interface and business process changes to streamline technician workflows, scripted asset import routines using VBA macros to translate equipment manifests for elevators, transformers, and conveyors into IBM Maximo assets, and Crystal Reports for quarterly failure analysis of boarding bridge equipment.
Integration and operational coverage included Excel VBA based automation feeding asset data into IBM Maximo and routine maintenance of the payroll time clock server to support payroll processing. Operational responsibilities bridged IT and maintenance functions, with technical support provided to employees and computing environments, and reporting outputs used to inform management and budgetary decisions for asset reliability.
Governance and process restructuring are explicit in the implementation, reducing work order handling from a three step process to a single step workflow and applying UI improvements to improve Enterprise Asset Management usability. Payroll automation developments reduced or eliminated manual data entry and lowered payroll errors, and consolidated failure and location data for boarding bridges to support planning and budgeting.
