NGC Software Legacy NGC EZ-Ship Shipping Management eCommerce n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Cambridge Corporate Service implemented NGC EZ-Ship to operationalize shipping and mailroom processes. The deployment targeted core mailroom functions and front line client delivery activity under the Shipping Management category, covering receipt of courier and messenger packages, accountable mail, interoffice items, and deliveries to clients and their administrative assistants. NGC EZ-Ship was configured to capture inbound item intake as logged and scanned records, to manage accountable mail workflows, and to orchestrate interoffice routing for motor shuttles and foot messengers. Configuration included outbound courier processing for UPS and FedEx shipments, shipment manifesting, carrier label generation, and end of day reporting to support chain of custody and transactional record keeping. Operational use explicitly integrated scanned item records with a SendSuite tracking system for logging and tracking, and processed outbound courier packages through NGC EZ-Ship for UPS and FedEx carrier handoffs. The system supported mailroom pickup and delivery patterns, collecting outbound items from designated areas or directly from clients, and preparing outbound mail and interoffice bundles for return shuttles. Governance emphasized daily logs, review of end of day reports, and centralized recording of accountable and personal deliveries to ensure traceability and to answer client inquiries about shipping and receiving. Operational ownership rested with mailroom staff who executed scanning, distribution to designated mail slots, delivery to clients or their assistants, and distribution of copy paper while using NGC EZ-Ship as the transactional system of record.
