In 2012, Cancer Care Ontario implemented Oracle Siebel Case Management to support Citizen Engagement, deploying a purpose built case management platform for citizen facing intake and case lifecycle management. Oracle Siebel Case Management was used to standardize case intake, routing, status tracking and citizen communications across organizational service channels, aligning with typical Citizen Engagement workflows for service requests and referrals.
The Siebel Public Sector 8.1.1.6 implementation ran on Oracle 11g for transactional persistence, with Informatica 9.5 providing data integration and DAC 10g handling data acquisition and batch extracts. Reporting and analytics were provisioned via OBIEE 11g and BI Publisher 10g, creating a unified reporting layer that consumed Siebel transaction data and ETL outputs for operational and executive consumption.
Operational scope emphasized citizen facing business functions such as intake, referral routing, case assignment and status communications, with configuration of Siebel Case Management business components and process automation to support those workflows. Integration points in the environment centered on the Oracle database, Informatica ETL pipelines and the OBIEE reporting stack, providing a consistent data flow from transactional case events to analytic dashboards.
Governance and operational control were organized around centralized reporting and data extraction processes, leveraging DAC 10g and OBIEE 11g to deliver governed datasets and operational views for program managers and administrators. The implementation maintained a sustained environment from April 2012 onward, with Oracle Siebel Case Management serving as the core platform for Citizen Engagement at Cancer Care Ontario.
