PDI Technologies Legacy PDI Enterprise for Wholesalers Distribution ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Capitol Petroleum Group implemented PDI Enterprise for Wholesalers as its Distribution ERP to centralize wholesale fuel operations and financial reporting. The implementation targeted the company’s wholesale, inventory and dealer management functions to support distribution to nearly 200 dealers across the Washington, D.C. and New York areas. PDI Enterprise for Wholesalers was deployed with core wholesale petroleum, inventory management, dealer management, and reporting solutions configured to support automated reporting and month-end close processes. The deployment emphasized flexible, automated reporting for real-time decision-making and faster financial close workflows, reflecting the CFO’s stated requirements for scalability and improved reporting. Capitol Petroleum Group also provisioned PDI Petronet, the customer portal for accounts-receivable teams to manage dealer, cardlock, commercial and residential customer relationships in a web-based environment. The solution was delivered using PDI’s managed hosting offering, a single-tenant private cloud data hosting service, establishing a hosted application architecture and centralized data footprint for wholesale and finance operations. Operational governance focused on aligning accounts-receivable and wholesale operations to the new Distribution ERP workflows, with execution staged to bring AR portal usage and reporting automation into production. PDI leadership positioned the engagement as a multi-year platform and support relationship to sustain wholesale petroleum and logistics application delivery.
