Sage Legacy Sage Business Cloud X3 (ex Sage ERP X3) ERP Financial ERP n/a 2009 2010
In 2009, Carrot-Top Industries implemented Sage Business Cloud X3 (ex Sage ERP X3) as a web-based ERP Financial system. The deployment targeted company-wide financial and order management workflows for the US retail business with roughly 40 employees, and was directed to increase financial transparency and overall reporting abilities across the company. Sage Business Cloud X3 was configured with nine complex, company-wide customizations, centered on order entry, call center management, credit card processing, and 3rd party shipping integration. The implementation included a complete internal redesign of the system Product Configurator to enable custom product creation while containing customization costs, and the development of 27 Product Configurator Scripts to streamline the complex custom order process and reduce training time for new hires. Integrations and reporting were explicit components of the rollout, with credit card processing and a 3rd party shipping integration connected to transaction flows, and Crystal Reports used to produce Customer Invoice, Order Acknowledgement, Quote, Packing Slip and internal management reports. Operational coverage extended across order entry, call center operations and finance functions, positioning Sage Business Cloud X3 as the primary ERP Financial backbone for transactional processing and consolidated reporting. Governance emphasized custom design control and configuration management to embed the nine modifications and the Product Configurator scripts into standard operating procedures and rollout activities. The implementation is described as substantially increasing financial transparency and overall reporting abilities across the company.
