Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, CarVal Investors implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform to centralize multi-entity accounting and payment processing. The deployment served four legal entities and was configured to support multi-currency operations across Luxembourg, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Ireland. The implementation focused on role-based personalization within Oracle NetSuite ERP, creating saved searches, dashboards and specific views tailored to user roles and needs. Finance automation work included converting downloaded bank statements into NetSuite friendly upload files to enable matching of general ledger entries with bank transactions, and building NetSuite friendly CSV file imports for complex invoices, covering standard office expenses, invoices paid on behalf of investment groups, Bloomberg invoices and deal specific invoices that are recharged to funds. Operational execution included weekly coding of invoices for four entities and running weekly payment cycles for the Luxembourg, Singapore, UK and Ireland entities in their local currencies GBP, EUR, SGD and USD. Bank reconciliation workflows and CSV import templates were implemented to streamline accounts payable and GL matching processes within the ERP Financial system. Governance and user enablement were addressed by developing comprehensive training plans and step by step procedure documentation for all new NetSuite users. The program successfully trained four new users, including one user in the United States via Skype to a comfortable level, and the team contributed enhancement ideas to introduce robotics into NetSuite to further automate repetitive finance tasks.
