In 2004 Castonguay Blasting implemented Maestro*ERP as its Construction ERP to support order capture and accounting document workflows. The deployment established Maestro*ERP as the primary transactional system for the company across its Canada operations, consolidating order entry and financial posting into a single application for roughly 70 employees.
The implementation configured explicit order entry and product selection workflows so employees can take orders and find the product that meets customer needs, with a product catalog and guided order capture screens inside Maestro*ERP. Maestro*ERP was also configured to create persistent document numbers in the accounting ledger, ensuring each sales or project transaction is recorded with a structured accounting document identifier.
Functional scope was aligned with procurement, inventory control and core accounting capabilities typical of the Construction ERP category, enabling purchase requisitions to feed purchasing workflows and inventory records to reflect order consumption. Operational coverage included field operations, procurement staff and the accounting team, centralizing order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay touchpoints within Maestro*ERP.
Governance emphasized accounting controls for document numbering and an order acceptance workflow that moves transactions from employee order capture to product selection and financial posting, with process ownership retained by accounting and procurement for configuration and numbering rules.
