Persis HR was integrated with Kronos Workforce Central, which Catholic Health uses on its website for time and attendance, enabling exchange of hours and absence data between the timekeeping system and the Core HR platform. Configuration work focused on emergency department workflow automation and clinical transformation of the Epic EMR in six sites, driven by integrated multi-facility design sessions with subject matter experts. The team developed decision support rules and alerts within Epic ASAP to enforce compliance with CMS, NYSDOH, GYNHA and hospital quality measures and to support patient safety workflows.
Operational integrations included coordination with third party professional billing companies to maintain continuity of ED professional services, and system-wide coordination with ED directors and nurse managers to align enhancements and regulatory changes. The deployment scope included multi-facility operational coverage across the system emergency departments and routine governance touchpoints with clinical leadership.
Project governance emphasized traditional program management, the development of go-live project plans, task and resource plans, communication plans, risk identification and mitigation strategies, and assessments of organizational readiness. Outcomes cited in program documentation include six successful Epic ASAP go-lives and a successful Epic 2014 code upgrade, supported by weekly stakeholder forums to manage ongoing enhancements and safety-related configuration changes.
