In 2023, cbdMD implemented Acumatica ERP Cloud Manufacturing Edition, replacing Oracle NetSuite ERP and QuickBooks and positioning the company on a single cloud manufacturing platform in the Manufacturing ERP Software category. The Acumatica ERP Cloud Manufacturing Edition deployment served Charlotte based manufacturing and retail operations and centralized transactional and operational data across finance, warehouse, and production functions.
The implementation configured core manufacturing and inventory control, lot traceability, order management, and reporting automation, and incorporated an integrated quality management system procured from eWorkplaceApps to capture batch level quality and compliance records. Acumatica ERP Cloud Manufacturing Edition provided native reporting and analytics capabilities that eliminated manual exports to Microsoft Excel and reduced dependence on developer scripted extracts.
Integrations consolidated customer and financial data flows by tying Acumatica to the companys Salesforce CRM and the existing Expensify expense application, removing prior siloed transfer processes. Operational coverage extended to manufacturing floor execution, pick pack and shipping workflows, quality management, finance, and centralized IT administration, addressing previous delays in RF scanner updates and warehouse processing.
Governance and process changes centralized reporting and inventory controls, standardized lot traceability for compliance, and reduced manual batch paperwork on the shop floor. Explicit outcomes stated by cbdMD include eliminating several software licensing fees saving $200,000 annually, speeding order fulfillment by 30 percent, increasing shipments from 3,000 a day to 1,000 an hour, and reducing inventory cycle count times from a month to less than a week, while increasing data visibility with a click of a button and eliminating manual data manipulation between NetSuite and Excel.
