The Aveva APM Assessment deployment centralized asset health analytics, predictive maintenance workflows, and history-based maintenance strategy guidance. Aveva APM Assessment was used to provide visibility into maintenance materials and services planning, to surface maintenance cost metrics, and to codify best‑practice maintenance methods based on operational history, supporting maintenance, reliability, and IT teams. Governance changes included standardizing maintenance strategies and putting cost and materials readiness into operational decision making, with Aveva APM Assessment integrated into plant maintenance workflows and reliability processes. As noted by Dave Wiedenfeld, Group Project Leader, IT, "We can now ensure that maintenance materials and services are there when we need them, know what it costs to maintain the plant, and know the best way to maintain it based on history." The program delivered improved operations, reduced costs, rapid return on investment, and savings measured in the millions of dollars.
