In 2016 Childrensalon implemented SAP Business One as its ERP Financial application to support core finance operations. The deployment targeted the finance function, specifically Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger activities, and addressed transaction posting, payment runs, supplier reconciliations, invoice verification, expense claims and VAT reporting.
SAP Business One was configured to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, weekly payment run processing, cash and bank posting logic, and financial master data used by the finance team. Configuration extended to reporting feeds and exports used for courier analyses and VAT monthly reports that were reconciled in Excel using Vlookup and pivot tables.
The implementation included explicit integrations with Concur and FairFX for expense claim processing, with expense transaction data routed into SAP Business One for posting and reconciliation. Operational coverage emphasized centralized posting of bank receipts and payments, supplier account reconciliation, and invoice processing across Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger roles.
Governance and rollout workstreams included development, testing, and a training program that was developed, tested and successfully rolled out to finance staff to embed SAP Business One into day to day ledger workflows. Process changes formalized ledger responsibilities within the finance department and established SAP Business One as the transactional system for VAT reporting and courier cost analyses.

The Time and Attendance system was configured to support time capture and overtime tracking, while operational processes were aligned to include individual risk assessments for maternity and accident cases.
Operational scope and governance covered HR administration, rewards and benefits management and payroll related responsibilities for Childrensalon Team Ltd, explicitly including payroll processing and overtime payments, administration of the Westfield healthcare plan, Nest pension scheme, death in service insurance, childcare vouchers, cycle2work scheme, staff discounts and employee loans and advances. The rollout emphasized process definition for new starter processing, induction and ongoing user support, reflecting a combined technology and HR process change.
Ongoing support activities were documented as part of the program, with system maintenance and updates delivered post go live and a helpdesk model established to support end users. Mitrefinch HR Manager remains referenced in operational practices for core HR administration at Childrensalon.
