In 2021, Chugach Government Solutions implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management to standardize leave and time away processes across its federal services business units. The deployment targeted Absence and Leave Management capabilities within Oracle Cloud HCM and was executed with multidisciplinary technical, functional, and business teams working locally and remotely across CGS business units.
The implementation centered on Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management configuration, covering absence plans, entitlements, approval workflows, accrual calculations and absence balance reporting, aligned with Core HR and Time and Labor records. Oracle HCM development activities included security configuration, authoring of absence reports, user acceptance testing and formal user training, with CGS staff performing configuration and stabilization tasks.
Cross functional requirement capture and integration planning linked Absence and Leave Management to Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management and Learning functional areas, with the Oracle Fusion Administrator translating business requirements into Oracle HCM Cloud module requirements. Deployment and stabilization work was scoped to the federal division and supporting CGS business units, and the implementation included release support and post release administration responsibilities.
Governance followed formal SDLC practices, IT change control and documented deployment methodologies, with application server life cycle management embedded into operational processes. Murry Consultancy served as the implementation partner supporting design, development and delivery while CGS retained responsibility for ongoing administration, security settings and operational support.
