In 2018, CIT Group executed a PeopleSoft Financials upgrade to Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as a focused ERP Financial initiative. The project targeted PeopleSoft FSCM versions 9.0 to 9.2 across core finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Purchasing, and Treasury components described as Banking, CM and Financial Gateway.
The implementation included comprehensive fit gap analysis and business process redesign for Oracle PeopleSoft ERP, with configuration of user list design and notification rules. Functional modules and capabilities delivered included automated user maintenance with dynamic role assignment, custom search and attachment components for journals, vouchers, requisitions, purchase orders and vendors, and workflow automation using the Approval Workflow Engine for GL journal, vendor and voucher approvals.
Architecture and integration work leveraged PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PSQuery, Fluid, PUM and SQR, with Integration Broker used for application integration patterns. ServiceNow was used to assign work and manage knowledge transfer to the client technical team, and infrastructure teams were engaged to stage data and remediate platform performance issues during test cycles.
Operational scope covered day to day operations and monitoring of GL, AP, AM, CM and Treasury, including daily bank reconciliation monitoring via reconciliation reports. Governance and process work included defining approval framework stage path and step criteria, producing function design specifications and business process narratives, and creating audit triggers and complex PS queries to support control and reporting requirements.
The engagement also included a structured performance testing program where the lead developer documented the performance test plan, executed staged test cycles, tuned PeopleCode and SQL in app engines and SQR reports, and worked with infrastructure teams to remediate long running processes. Oracle PeopleSoft ERP served as the central ERP Financial system for finance business functions, with technical and functional changes documented and handed over to the client team through ServiceNow.

In 2016, CIT Group deployed iCIMS Recruit Applicant Tracking System to power job posting and candidate application flows on its public careers website. The implementation uses iCIMS Recruit Applicant Tracking System as the primary Applicant Tracking System for capturing online applications and managing candidate access through the careers site login.
The configuration emphasized core Applicant Tracking System capabilities, including requisition posting, online application intake, candidate profile and resume parsing, workflow based screening and dispositioning, and built in recruiting reporting. Implementation work concentrated on integrating branded career pages with the ATS, configuring candidate management workflows, and enabling automated communication templates for recruiters.
Operational ownership is with CIT Group talent acquisition and recruiting teams, who leverage the platform for requisition approvals, candidate communications, interview scheduling workflows, and compliance tracking. The deployment covers the public facing recruitment channels on the CIT Group website and internal recruiting processes, with governance focused on role based access, workflow controls, and process standardization within the ATS.

In 2015, CIT Group converted its core deposit processing from Jack Henry Banking SilverLake to FIS Core Banking. The implementation leveraged the FIS IBS system as the vendor platform to centralize Core Banking functions for CIT Bank deposit portfolios and product servicing.
The work focused on core deposit servicing configuration, account servicing workflows, and product catalog configuration to accommodate new product lines. Implementation activity included configuring the FIS Core Banking application to support automated account lifecycle events and standardizing account origination workflows.
A key component of the program was integration work, new interfaces were developed and an in-house online account origination system was integrated with the FIS IBS core to enable straight-through processing from origination into the ledger. Operational coverage emphasized retail deposit operations and account opening channels within CIT Bank, aligning front-end origination with back-office core processing.
Program governance centered on conversion planning, data migration from Jack Henry Banking SilverLake, and interface contract and configuration control to manage product definitions and release timing. Cutover coordination between IT and operations and ongoing configuration governance were used to limit operational risk during the conversion.
