The implementation included explicit Navitaire New Skies modules Sky Sales, SkySpeed, SkySchedule, SkyUtilities, SkyPort, GoNow, SkyLedger, SkyPrice, and GENEVA, configured to support reservations, schedule management, pricing and revenue functions, sales channel orchestration, and financial posting. Configuration work focused on channel connectivity and inventory and pricing workflows consistent with Reservation and Booking Management functional patterns, while SkyLedger and SkyPrice addressed fare calculation and ledger interfacing. Integrations implemented in support of the Navitaire New Skies rollout included connection points to the airline SAP system and the e-commerce online payment system handling credit card and ebanking transactions, in addition to operational links to call center and IT helpdesk processes. The program design and operations were underpinned by a newly developed office IT system and infrastructure, including enterprise data centre and disaster recovery center capabilities, plus network infrastructure and security measures to host the reservation environment. Governance and operationalization combined project management, IT strategic planning and budgeting, and IT procurement to execute the passenger system service migration from AVANTIK to New Skies Navitaire. The Head of IT role encompassed maintenance and ongoing management of PSS and online business capabilities, ensuring commercial teams, call center operations, and e-commerce functions were covered by the Navitaire New Skies Reservation and Booking Management deployment.
