| HEAVY.AI (formerly OmniSci) | Legacy | HeavyIQ | Natural Language Processing | AI-Powered Application | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024 the City Of Glendale implemented HeavyIQ to support vehicle tracking and incident management. The deployment targeted analysis of very large GIS and time-series datasets to improve operational reporting across municipal operations in the United States.
HeavyIQ’s Natural Language Processing capabilities were applied to enable ad hoc query and exploration over high-performance analytical datasets, supporting analysts who investigate sensor time-series and geospatial layers. Configuration prioritized interactive query and visualization workflows to accelerate incident triage and recurring operational reports.
The implementation centralized ingestion of vehicle telemetry and incident feeds so the HeavyIQ environment became the primary analytics layer for vehicle tracking and incident management workflows. Operational coverage included public safety, fleet operations and incident response teams across city departments, with role-aware access to dashboards and query tools.
City reporting indicates HEAVY.AI handled more than 20,000,000 records where previous tools capped at roughly 400,000, demonstrating a substantially larger dataset capacity within the new HeavyIQ deployment. Governance focused on centralized reporting and controlled access for operational dashboards to support ongoing incident management and analytics use cases.
