CentralSquare Legacy CentralSquare Finance Enterprise Government ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 1998 1998
In 1998 the City of Killeen, TX began using CentralSquare Finance Enterprise for municipal financial operations, a client server packaged product provided and routinely updated by CentralSquare. City of Killeen, TX uses CentralSquare Finance Enterprise as its Government ERP to manage core finance and administrative functions across municipal departments. The deployment follows a traditional client server architecture with vendor delivered version updates applied on a regular cadence. The implementation covers a broad set of financial modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budget, utility billing, centralized cash receipts, purchasing, inventory, fixed assets, building permits and human resources. CentralSquare Finance Enterprise is configured to support standard Government ERP workflows for transaction entry, budget control, payroll processing, utility billing cycles and financial reporting. Configuration emphasizes packaged module capabilities rather than custom extension work. Operational integrations are file based and the City imports payment information via imports on a daily basis to feed centralized cash receipts and utility billing. Human Resources time and attendance remains with Executime from Tyler Technology, municipal court functions are supported by INCODE from Tyler Technologies, Inc, and recreation operations use Activenet, all interfacing with CentralSquare Finance Enterprise through scheduled imports and data exchanges. These interfaces create an integrated municipal financial ecosystem while retaining specialized third party systems for timekeeping, court administration and recreation. Governance is centered on city finance and IT ownership for version management and import schedules, with operational scope spanning finance, HR adjacent payroll activities, utilities billing, purchasing and permitting departments. The City maintains routine vendor driven updates to CentralSquare Finance Enterprise and operational processes for daily import workflows to ensure transactional continuity across municipal business functions. Deployment and ongoing configuration are organized to support citywide municipal finance operations under the Government ERP instance.
