In 2016, ClaimSecure implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) as its enterprise Analytics and BI platform for centralized reporting. The implementation delivered the ClaimSecure Reporting System which included over 100 SSRS reports covering customer information, claim details, management and administration.
The deployment combined SQL Server Reporting Services, SSAS OLAP cubes and SSIS ETL into a Business Reporting database in SQL Server. Report development included parameterized reports, subreports, drill down and drill through navigation, charts and advanced filters, supported by stored procedures, views and queries developed in SQL Server and PL SQL. Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) was used to design OLAP cubes with SSAS and to maintain SSIS packages for ingesting claims data.
Integrations explicitly included data extraction from claims databases in Oracle into the SQL Server reporting database using SSIS, ad hoc queries against Oracle and SQL Server, and Excel based data presentations for analysis. The reporting system supported business functions across claims processing, customer service, management reporting and administration. Development and maintenance activity also extended to web applications built with ASP.NET and C# that consumed reporting outputs.
Governance followed a Report Development Life Cycle with requirement gathering, design, coding and testing, and ongoing maintenance of SSRS reports and SSIS packages. The implementation emphasized BI development practices including stored procedure driven reporting, ETL orchestration and OLAP cube testing to support enterprise reporting needs.
