Sage Legacy Sage 100 Contractor Construction ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Clarion Construction deployed Sage 100 Contractor to establish core Construction ERP capabilities supporting estimating, project accounting and job costing workflows. The Sage 100 Contractor deployment targeted the companys estimating and project management functions across active construction sites and an out of state project portfolio. Sage 100 Contractor was configured to manage estimating-to-proposal workflows, with final proposals compiled inside Sage 100 Contractor after take offs were performed in Planswift and then converted into the application. The implementation emphasized structured cost records and job cost tracking, aligning proposal line items with project accounting and billing constructs typical of Construction ERP solutions. The environment operated alongside Procore, which handled submittals, RFIs, meeting agendas and minutes, and change event tracking, and alongside Microsoft Project where the master project schedule was created. Workflows show Planswift outputs converted into Sage 100 Contractor for final proposals, while Procore and Microsoft Project served as parallel systems for field documentation and scheduling, respectively, with cross functional coordination between them and Sage 100 Contractor. Operational governance centered on project management ownership, with project managers coordinating site visits, subcontractor bid compilation, interpretation of construction drawings, and superintendent communication to keep projects on schedule. Clarion Construction used Sage 100 Contractor as the financial and estimating backbone, while project managers and field staff managed contracts, subcontractor procurement and out of state execution through local superintendent engagement and coordinated office to field workflows.
