Billtrust Legacy Billtrust Payment Payment Processing ERP n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Coastal Construction Products implemented Billtrust Payment as its Payment Processing platform to modernize accounts receivable and payment posting workflows. The deployment targeted the finance organization, aligning inbound payment handling with the company payment journal and invoice reconciliation needs across its distribution business. At project kickoff the implementation was configured to prevent automated posting, requiring manual validation and entry. Soon after the rollout the company enabled automation within Billtrust Payment, automating entry of payments into the payment journal, selecting the appropriate customer record, matching payments to the correct invoice and submitting the resulting entries to the general ledger. Operational governance shifted from manual accounts receivable procedures to automated posting and matching within Billtrust Payment, and manual processes were eliminated. The implementation centralized payment posting, invoice matching and GL submission inside the Payment Processing application, standardizing workflow and reducing manual touch points across the finance function.

Operational coverage targeted warehouse, sales, procurement and finance teams, aligning system configuration to those business functions. Governance was codified through role specific SOPs, documented test artifacts and QA sign off gates to control deployment and user onboarding. The implementation emphasized form level configuration, workflow definitions and documented testing to create repeatable operational processes in the Distribution ERP environment.
