| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024, CEMIG implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment focused on core financial ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, and financial reporting capabilities to centralize transactional finance and statutory reporting.
SAP S/4 HANA was configured to integrate with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and with Workforce Software Time and Attendance, plus other satellite systems referenced in the project scope. Integrations included payroll posting into the financial ledger, time and attendance feeds for payroll calculations, and master data synchronization across HR and finance domains. The implementation emphasized end-to-end transactional flows between HR payroll systems and the ERP Financial ledger.
The program began in January 2024 and continues with implementation activities coordinated from São Paulo and remote teams, aligning finance, payroll, and HR process owners. Architecture work established cross-system interfaces and orchestrated batch and near real time posting routines, with configuration of chart of accounts, document posting rules, and end-of-period close workflows. Operational coverage spans corporate finance and payroll functions within CEMIG's Brazil operations.
Governance structures put in place include integration change control, master data stewardship across HR and finance, and phased cutover sequencing to synchronize payroll and month-end close activities. SAP S/4 HANA as the ERP Financial system anchors the integrated finance and payroll landscape at CEMIG and serves as the primary ledger for downstream satellite reconciliations.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024 CEMIG implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the Core HR backbone for its human resources and payroll functions. The program began in January 2024 and remains in active rollout, executed from São Paulo with remote delivery, and is scoped to support HR processes for approximately 5,028 employees.
The engagement covers a full SAP SuccessFactors solution set including SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll. Implementation work focused on core HR data modeling, employee lifecycle management, position and organizational structures, payroll configuration for Employee Central Payroll, and workforce time and attendance data ingestion. Integration interfaces were built to synchronize master data, payroll inputs, and transactional records with SAP S/4 HANA, and a Workforce Software Time and Attendance system, along with additional satellite systems identified by the program.
Operational scope included centralizing HR and payroll capabilities to serve HR, payroll, and workforce management functions, with governance driven by HR process owners and IT stakeholders to manage interfaces and data flows. The implementation narrative emphasizes application architecture integration points between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and enterprise systems, and the project continues under phased execution since January 2024.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4HANA Utilities | Utilities ERP | ERP Services and Operations | Tivit | 2007 | 2008 |
In 2007, CEMIG implemented SAP S/4HANA Utilities. The deployment supports core Utilities ERP functions across the company’s operational IT estate and is described as the primary ERP platform for utility business processes.
The SAP landscape was documented with significant IBM Power hardware, listed as two IBM e870 servers and two IBM e880 servers with explicit CPU and RAM counts, and an estimated sizing of 500,000 SAPS covering production, quality and development environments. Procurement clarification requested a breakdown of SAPS per environment using the SIZING SAP worksheet, and responses indicate the original Power infrastructure is no longer the same. The system integrator Tivit now hosts the SAP environment on multiple smaller servers rather than the four large Power systems previously recorded.
File services architecture is explicit, comprised of two Windows file servers in the data center and one file server in each of 16 regional sites, with regional servers synchronized to the primary servers using Microsoft DFS-Replication and quotas enforced through Microsoft FSRM. CEMIG retains responsibility for management and licensing of the distributed regional servers, and the file server estate is already in migration to Azure. Questions regarding HP-UX compatibility and provision of images and licenses were answered with the clarification that HP-UX servers no longer exist in the environment.
Operational continuity for SAP includes a CCS contingency mechanism where contingency is activated in the event of a production outage on the primary server. Governance responsibilities for synchronization, quota management and distributed server licensing are assigned to CEMIG, and infrastructure changes were recorded during procurement clarifications for the SAP S/4HANA Utilities implementation.
