EmploymentHero Legacy EmploymentHero ATS Applicant Tracking System HCM n/a 2024 2025
In 2024 Compendium Group implemented EmploymentHero ATS, an Applicant Tracking System to centralize recruiting, onboarding and early talent management across its Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom operations. The deployment established EmploymentHero ATS as the single source of truth for candidate records, job templates and contracts, moving recruiting out of disparate Word documents and inboxes into a unified HRIS workflow. This implementation targeted the HR and retail hiring functions, supporting a lean HR team and store managers handling seasonal hiring spikes. Compendium Group EmploymentHero ATS Applicant Tracking System supports end to end recruitment and onboarding activities for a company with approximately 50 employees across multiple entities. The configuration emphasized out of the box and templated capabilities within EmploymentHero ATS, including refined job templates with built in screening questions, staged pipelines named Initial Screen, In Review, Phone Screen, Interview, Background Check and Offer, and templated candidate communications to preserve consistency. SmartMatch AI assisted shortlisting was used to accelerate candidate sourcing and internal sharing with hiring managers, and contract generation was configured from entity specific templates for multiple jurisdictions. Onboarding was implemented as a contiguous flow from ATS to onboarding in the same platform, with automated checklists to trigger IT provisioning and manager tasks, plus electronic signature capture for contracts. Performance review cycles and regular pulse surveys were enabled in the platform to establish ongoing people cadence beyond hire. Integrations and operational touch points were explicit and narrow, with roles publishing directly to SEEK, LinkedIn and the Employment Hero job board from the ATS, and shortlisted candidates routed to store managers for rapid screening. The implementation preserved documented workflows for reference checks and compliance evidence inside EmploymentHero ATS, so every stage and document is recorded in the system. Operational coverage included HR, hiring managers, store managers, IT and people leaders across the company entities to ensure cross border hiring visibility and consistent governance. Governance changes centered on moving hiring managers into the workflow for real time visibility and accountable stage moves, plus templated communications and checklist driven onboarding to reduce ad hoc email coordination. The system captured and timestamped offer workflows, reference checks and electronic signatures to provide auditability across entities. A concrete outcome reported from the deployment was filling an urgent retail role in five business days using SmartMatch shortlisting, staged interviews, completed reference checks and an executed contract, all managed end to end inside EmploymentHero ATS.
