SAP Legacy SAP IS-H Healthcare Healthcare ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2007 2008
In 2007, Compensar implemented SAP IS-H Healthcare. The deployment established SAP IS-H Healthcare as the core Healthcare ERP to consolidate patient administration, clinical documentation, scheduling and hospital billing functions across Compensar's Colombian healthcare operations. The implementation configured standard IS-H functional modules, including patient master and admission-discharge-transfer workflows, clinical documentation and electronic charting, appointment scheduling, billing and tariff management, and order capture for inpatient and outpatient care. Configuration work emphasized industry solution workflows typical of a Healthcare ERP, with master data stabilization and role-based authorization for clinicians and administrative staff. Operational integration connected the IS-H instance into Compensar's broader SAP landscape, aligning clinical and billing transactions with SAP ERP financials and controlling interfaces to operational hospital systems such as laboratory and pharmacy ordering systems. The rollout targeted healthcare business functions including clinical services, patient administration, revenue cycle and hospital operations, with data flows designed to support downstream financial posting and invoicing processes. Governance for the IS-H program used centralized project and program management practices, and subsequent program activity between 2018 and 2021 updated the IS-H solution to version 618 while moving ECC components to EHP8 on AIX with DB2 11.1, reflecting ongoing platform maintenance and industry solution version alignment.
