The application runs on Android and iOS platforms and accommodates rugged Android devices, allowing the Di.Tech Mobile Store suite to support workflows across store formats from larger hypermarkets to local shops and wholesale points of sale. The solution also included automatic reordering capabilities, with automatic proposal generation and order issuing to streamline replenishment workflows. The implementation integrated mobile clients with back office systems through cloud application access, enabling employees to place orders, consult delivery documents and obtain full product context while working in aisles or at counters. Operational coverage targeted point of sale teams and extended to consumer services managed on the same devices, reducing reliance on specialized portable terminals and consolidating mobility into multiuse devices. Device consolidation and cloud synchronization were used to ensure consistent operational data across stores. Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, shifting order capture, inventory and traceability tasks to handheld devices and enabling employees to place orders directly at service counters with full information available. Rollout emphasis was on provisioning mobile applications across devices, standardizing workflows for reordering and label management, and aligning store operating procedures with mobile-enabled task flows. The approach reinforced organizational flexibility by moving multiple store functions onto a single mobile platform. Reported outcomes tied to the Di.Tech Mobile Store deployment included a 25% reduction in bank order execution times, increased order quality, reduction of stock outages without increasing inventory, the consolidation of operational capabilities on a single mobile tool, and lower purchase and maintenance costs for mobile devices. These outcomes were directly associated with the mobile approach and the combination of cloud applications and consumer devices in store operations.
