In 2019 Convex Insurance implemented Oracle Cloud ERP, deploying Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform and establishing a cloud native SaaS foundation together with Oracle Integration Cloud as the integration fabric. The engagement was executed as a greenfield technical stream led by a Solutions Architect, focused on data migration, data quality assurance, reporting and apps security from project inception through handover to business as usual.
Modules and configuration work centered on core finance capabilities, including Accounting, Receivables, Suppliers, Payables, Payments, Projects and BI and reporting. The implementation included configuration of transactional workflows, financial controls and project accounting processes, with delivery managed across on site and offshore resources to align application configuration with finance, procurement and project control requirements.
The technical architecture used Oracle Integration Cloud as the iPaaS layer, integrating Oracle Cloud ERP via REST APIs, EDI and managed file transfer patterns. Named integrations included JumpCloud for identity management, Slack for operational notifications, Clearwater for actuarial or claims data exchange and Azure Cloud for platform interoperability, with explicit attention to performance, security and scalability practices and reusable integration patterns.
Program governance emphasized technical and process documentation, risk identification and escalation to project leadership, and knowledge transfer. The Solutions Architect produced architecture and process artifacts, delivered mentoring and training to junior resources and key users, and led transition activities to business as usual to operationalize the ERP Financial system for Convex Insurance.

Governance centralized enrollment workflows and visibility into benefit usage, with measured engagement showing 90% of employees accessed the portal during enrolment and just under 30% of UK employees using the discount and cashback portal. These outcomes improved benefits visibility and reduced administrative burden for HR while keeping Benifex Discounts as the single Benefits Administration interface for ongoing management.
