Artsyl Legacy Artsyl InvoiceAction AP Automation ERP n/a 2011 2011
In 2011, CPower implemented Artsyl InvoiceAction to digitize accounts payable and automate invoice capture within its accounts payable function, aligning the effort with AP Automation objectives. The deployment targeted invoice intake, intelligent capture, document filing, and automated creation of payable transactions to reduce manual processing overhead. The implementation leveraged Artsyl intelligent capture technology, described in the deployment as docAlpha, to identify and extract actionable data from scanned paper and native digital invoices. Extracted metadata and images were ingested into PaperSave for document management and used to populate fields for posting into Microsoft Dynamics GP, removing the need for manual keying into the ERP. Integrations included Microsoft Dynamics GP as the ERP and PaperSave as the document management and approval routing engine, with data flows from capture through coding and approval and onward to payables creation in Dynamics GP. Operational coverage focused on the accounts payable team, with Accounts Payable Specialist Shanelle Hunter responsible for exception handling and day to day oversight of the automated capture and routing workflows. Governance and process changes centered on enforcing coding and approval through PaperSave workflows, and on using Artsyl InvoiceAction capture rules to standardize indexing and reduce document loss. The result was an end to end paperless AP Automation process, eliminating manual filing and data entry, improving visibility into invoices, and positioning CPower to scale its payables operations as the business grows.
