In 2016, Crediton Dairy implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform to provide a unified backbone for finance and core operations. Crediton Dairy engaged Atos to deliver a foundation S/4 HANA implementation to replace SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and to establish a scalable, growth oriented ERP for the UK based dairy business.
The implementation encompassed APO Demand Planning, MRP, Material Management, Inventory and Warehouse Management, Sales and Distribution, and S/4 HANA Finance, with an initial roll out of Fiori apps for Purchase Orders and a platform for wider Fiori user experience adoption. The finance design included a simplified chart of accounts integrating FI and CO data to reduce reconciliation and accelerate period close, aligning transactional processing and analytical capabilities within the ERP Financial architecture.
Atos delivered the project within a six month timeline and the new SAP S/4 HANA system went live with no operational disruption, followed by a five year UK based Application Management Service engagement. The deployment provided a single source of reliable and consistent data in near real time, enabling near real time period closing and supporting logistics and finance processes across the business.
Governance and process workstreams produced fully documented business processes aligned to Atos standardised templates and the GDP4SAP methodology, creating a roadmap for expanded analytics and forecasting. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation provided multidimensional real time analytics for process simulations and what if scenario reporting, faster exception identification and improved product profitability reporting and forecasting to support executive decision making.
