In 2022, Creedence Energy Services implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its ERP Financial platform. The implementation centralized inventory accounting and reconciliation workflows for over 20 locations, making Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central the system of record for receipts, internal transfers, sales, and blending activity.
The deployment emphasized inventory and financial modules, with explicit use of inventory control, accounts payable, fixed assets, depreciation, and CapEx budgeting capabilities. Business Central was configured to support standardized daily bill of lading reconciliation, and the inventory accountant role led configuration of automations and complex spreadsheet logic to ensure accurate receipt posting across sites.
Automation was extended through Power Automate flows embedded in Business Central to streamline daily processes and accelerate posting of sales and transfers. Operational coverage included day to day inventory reconciliation, sales recording, and coordination across multiple physical locations, aligning accounting entries in accounts payable and fixed assets with inventory movements.
Governance and process change focused on a standardized daily BOL reconciliation process, tighter communication between site operations and accounting, and formalized daily reconciliation ownership. The adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP Financial workflows and Power Automate resulted in timely and accurate recording of sales and a reduced month end close timeline down to 10 business days.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | Stoneridge Software | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Creedence Energy Services implemented Microsoft Power BI as part of a broader Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central deployment delivered by Stoneridge Software. Creedence Energy Services sought a scalable analytics layer in the Apps Category Analytics and BI after outgrowing QuickBooks, with the implementation anchored at the company headquarters in Williston, ND and focused on production support, inventory accuracy, and financial reporting.
The deployment configured Business Central functional capabilities for inventory management across multiple warehouse locations, sales order entry and invoicing with order copy templates, assembly bill of materials that support consumption of non inventory items, and account schedules for budget to actual variance analysis. Microsoft Power BI was connected to Business Central to replace manual Excel reporting and to enable direct export of Power BI report data to Excel for monthly external reporting. Kofax ReadSoft Online was added to automate information intensive document workflows, and Gorilla Expense was implemented for spend management.
Integrations were executed to link Microsoft Power BI with Dynamics 365 Business Central and with the added Kofax ReadSoft Online and Gorilla Expense components, enabling end to end flows from order capture through inventory consumption to financial reporting. Operational coverage targeted logistics, sales order processing, inventory control, and accounting teams, improving visibility of inventory transactions and reducing duplicate data entry in sales and invoicing workflows.
Governance and rollout were managed through a defined core project team from Creedence working with Stoneridge Software, with a Period End accounting checklist established to standardize month end tasks. The implementation delivered explicit operational outcomes stated by the project, including immediate improvements in inventory controls, simplified order entry and invoicing, and rapid export of monthly reports from Microsoft Power BI to Excel, all delivered on time and in scope.
